Eclectic Ballroom/Lightbox presents, Ibiza Legend Danny Whitehead (Café Mambo, Café Del Mar, Pasha and Amnesia) on Saturday March 16.
Danny’s career has been one of a slow burn, spanning close to 30 years, starting off in Manchester 1990 after filling in for a local northern soul legend DJ no show.
Resident at Café Mambo and Café del Mar at what now seems like Ibiza’s musical apex, was a journey and an education. It was a time for little sleep, whilst Danny played at most of the island’s main venues and held residencies at Pacha and Amnesia.
Elsewhere, Danny toured much of Europe and the world. In recent years Danny’s appeared at Latitude Festival, Creamfields, Pikes, Café Mambo and Hostal la Torre.
Following releases on Stripped and Magnetic Recordings Danny’s been focusing on studio work with more tracks due for 2019.
Entry to the night is free before 11pm, £5 after, pay on the door or drop into the Lightbox Café, Peterborough.
Eclectic Ballroom provide the tunes every Saturday night as the Lightbox Café transforms from daytime eatery to evening venue.
