DRAGON SWOOPS IN FOR FATHER’S DAY

Highly-anticipated blockbuster animation, How to Train Your Dragon 2, will get two special Father’s Day screenings at Showcase Cinemas Peterborough on Sunday – nearly three weeks before release.

Teenage Viking Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) will soar again on his trusty dragon Toothless, as this sequel to one of the best animations over the past few years will screen in REAL 3D at 2.05pm and 4.35pm.

It’s been five years since Hiccup and Toothless successfully united the inhabitants of the Island of Berk – led by Gerard Butler’s Stoick the Vast.

With harmony between the dragons and Vikings – and dragon racing being the island’s new favourite sport – life is great, until Hiccup and pals stumble across an ice cave that could change everything.

They uncover a home to hundreds of wild dragons and the mysterious dragon rider that threatens to change the new-found peace and stability on the island forever.

Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill and Pompeii’s Kit Harington round off a star-studded voice cast in a movie that is currently the bookies’ favourite to be the biggest blockbuster of the summer – and it’s already garnering great early reviews.

Catch what should be a smokin’ hot slice of family entertainment before everyone else . . .
