The Met Lounge are proud to announce that the Britpop indie group The Bluetones are performing on Friday August 11.
It will be the fifth time the band have played in the Peterborough club (all of which were sell outs).
After the release of two singles, they released their debut album titled Expecting to Fly which entered the UK albums chart at number one generating great publicity for the group. After that, they were touring all around the country in the 90s before releasing their second album Return to the Last Chance Saloon which also had great success as it reached the top 10 in the UK album charts.
More recently, in February 2017 the band released BBC Radio Sessions containing tracks recorded for the BBC between 1994 and 2000.
On the 28th of March 2011, the band announced they would split after a farewell tour. Fortunately for fans, The Bluetones announced that they would reform for a new UK tour in April 2015. And after their recent reformation, they are performing at the Star Shaped Festival and four large shows in Birmingham, London, Manchester & Glasgow this summer. So don’t miss your opportunity to see this band live in Peterborough while you can, and relive the Britpop indie era!
Tickets are £15 in advance from The Met Lounge, Bridge Street, Peterborough or call 01733 566100, alternatively book online at www.seetickets.com and www.skiddle.com.
