NEW ‘LOST WORLD’ ACTIVITY CENTRE TO OPEN IN PETERBOROUGH

Great news for the kids (and parents) Vivacity is opening an exciting new ‘Lost World’ soft play and activity centre ahead of schedule at Serpentine Green shopping centre in Hampton, Peterborough.

Vivacity, the charitable trust that operates many of Peterborough’s sports, leisure and cultural venues and events is opening the indoor children’s soft play and activity centre on Thursday March 12, with features that will be a first for the city.

Lost World is themed on an ancient Aztec city, lost in the Amazon jungle. On offer will be an indoor soft play area over three levels, a toddler’s play space, climbing walls, a 360° volcano slide and an interactive climbing wall, both being the first of their kind in Peterborough.

Open seven days a week, Lost World will provide an exciting play experience for children, with a range of physical activities that are appropriate to different age groups.

Accessible to all, infants (up to 6 months) and accompanying adults will be able to access Lost World for free.

Chair of Vivacity, Stewart Francis said – “We are delighted to announce today the latest addition to our fantastic range of venues providing exciting activities for children. Lost World is going to make a big contribution to growing our offer for children and families in Peterborough.

“As a Charity, every pound spent with Vivacity is reinvested in the City, in particular to support our engagement with schools on reading development as well as our iconic venues – the Lido, the Key Theatre and the Museum. This is just one part of our developing plan with the City Council to make Peterborough the most exciting City in Eastern England to live and work.

“We are very grateful to our principal partners who have supported us in the creation of the Lost World. Peterborough City Council and British Land (owner of Serpentine Green) have been instrumental in enabling the delivery of this fantastic children’s activity centre ahead of schedule. We thank them most sincerely.”

Steve Coulson, Operations Manager at Serpentine Green, said – “We know that our visitors aren’t just looking for a great choice of shops, but also want entertainment and a great place to spend time with their families. Lost World will be a brilliant addition to the centre and our local community. With lots of activities on offer as well as somewhere for parents to relax, there’ll be something for all ages.

“We’re proud to be partnered with Vivacity to bring this to the centre. The work that Vivacity does to bring communities together is fantastic and makes a real difference to the city’s residents.”

In addition to the activities for children, Lost World will also feature a relaxing coffee shop for parents, as well as a reading area and mini-library. Themed party rooms and party packages will also be on offer.

Lost World will be open 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
