We love a bit of good news! The Range will open its 65th store in Peterborough on Friday July 20 creating loads of jobs and a new shopping outlet at Boongate.

It takes the total number of Range outlets to 65 across the UK and comes after a successful year in 2011 where the business opened 11 new superstores across England and Wales.

The Range offers more than 65,000 quality products across 16 departments including; DIY, homewares, furniture, lighting, arts & crafts and garden all at affordable prices.

Owner Chris Dawson commented:“Whenever we open a new Range superstore, it is a case of waiting for the right place, right time and right price. Peterborough fitted all those descriptions. It doesn’t stop here, that I can guarantee you. We are now on our 65th store, with many more in the pipeline for this year. We would like to welcome local people to the store opening, so they can see first-hand, what we are about and the great quality and value products we can offer them.”

It’s created up to 100 – 150 part and full-time jobs, from store and department managers to warehouse and admin staff.

The new store will be located atBoongate Retail Park, Peterborough,PE1 5SX and opens at 9am.

The store will be opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Peterborough, Councillor George Simons, Mrs Sylvia Simmons and the owner and founder of The Range , Chris Dawson.

There’ll be a £10 off voucher available when £50 or more is spent in store plus incredible store opening product offers across all departments including Homewares, Lighting, Soft Furnishings, DIY and many more.

The Range’s very own mascot Captain Range will be attending the opening, handing out balloons and entertaining customers waiting to get into the brand new store.
