On Sunday October 21 the BBC Radio 4 Appealwill feature Ex-England Footballer, Celebrity MasterChef Finalist, and Shine Patron, Danny Mills.
With its headquarters in Peterborough, SHINE (Spina Bifida – Hydrcephalus – Information – Networking – Equality) is a community of 75,000 individuals, families, friends, and professionals, sharing achievements, challenges and information on living with hydrocephalus, or spina bifida, and related issues.
Shine Chief Executive, Jackie Bland said: “Danny will be sharing his experience of how he and his wife Lisa lost their son to spina bifida and hydrocephalus, how Shine were there to support Danny and his family, and how a greater awareness of the benefits of folic acid could dramatically reduce the number of affected pregnancies.”
