Local star of BBC’s The Voice, singer Murray Hockridge will be joining the team from Thorpe Hall Hospice for a night under the stars this September.
Murray will be appearing at the Peterborough Starlight Hike to entertain walkers before they set off on their 10K hike around the east of the city.
The Starlight Hike will take place onSaturday September 8 starting and finishing at Peterborough Greyhound Stadium and you can enter on the night.
The walk will begin on the stroke of midnight, however Murray will be taking to the stage beforehand to make sure the atmosphere is buzzing as walkers are registering and getting limbered up!
ESP Magazine is again joining forces with Sue Ryder on the event (formerly the Midnight Walk) and our lovely Face of ESP Jessica Lockhart has pledged her support – as a local fitness instructor she should find it a breeze helping with the warm up!
Open to both men and ladies this year, the Starlight Hike will be a great night of entertainment for everyone taking part.
Murray told ESP – “I’ve lived close to Thorpe Hall for much of my life and used to play in the surrounding fields as a child. Over the years I’ve come to know of the fantastic care that the team at Thorpe Hall Hospice provide for local people. Having now met many of the wonderful crew who work there I feel I’d like to support them in any way I can.
The Starlight Hike sounds like a really fun evening and I’m very much looking forward to being a part of it.”
If you’d like to take part in this fantastic fundraiser and join Murray, you can register in advance by logging on to www.starlighthike.org or on the night itself.
