There’s a great weekend of live music and DJs coming up at The Plough in Farcet Fen all in aid of a local lad.
Little Jamie Andrews has a rare blood disorder called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia alongside a chromosome disorder and it’s hoped this fundraising weekend will help.
Jamie’s Big Benefit Weekend is taking place on Saturday August 18 and Sunday August 19 with a massive line-up of DJs on both days. There’s also a range of live bands and solo singers adding to the entertainment as well as a barbecue and loads of stalls.
Dan Andrews, Jamie’s dad, and Carl Donovan are having their legs waxed at about 5.30pm on Saturday by ladies from Beautiful Day Spa in Yaxley, to sponsor them call Carl on 07968 471679.
On the Sunday Peter Burrows the POSH mascot will also be dropping by.
Please, no alcohol to be brought into the event, as there’s a bar outside in the marquee and in the pub, and there’ll be zero tolerance to abusive behaviour.
There’ll be a big raffle to win a kid’s and adult’s bike plus there’s plenty of entertainment for the kids too and you can camp over from £10 for two nights (book at The Plough) to make a real weekend of it.
It runs from 11am – 2.30am on Saturday and from 12 noon – 10.30pm on Sunday with admission just £2 and £1. Family discounts are available both days.
