Stars get the party started to launch a new event coming soon…
Remember Chico? He’s the colourful X Factor contestant who jumped into Sharon Osbourne’s swimming pool with a live mic! On Sunday September 23, live in Cathedral Square, the star performed a variety of songs; including his Number 1 hit Chico Time – proving he’s still the natural born entertainer we remember.
The TV pop personality and ice celebrity was joined by former Dancing On Ice champions Kyran Bracken (England Rugby legend) and Ray Quinn to officially launch a new show coming to the city.
Celebrities On Ice is coming to Peterborough Arena from January 24-27, 2013.
All three stars who attended the launch will be appearing in the show, alongside Christopher Biggins and other surprise celebrities.
During an exclusive chat, Chico explained – “This show will be a feast for the senses. Everyone will get a fabulous party atmosphere with celebrities and over twenty ice skating professionals performing. It’s going to be dazzling and not to be missed.”
Ray Quinn added – “Chico and I are both singing as well. I came to Peterborough today not expecting to sing at all, but ended up doing a Chico Time duet with Chico, so who knows what might end up happening during the show.”
Asking whether we’ll see Ray in sequins, as we did in Dancing On Ice, he joked – “Who knows. I may have to get myself down to the gym just in case.”
So what does Kyran Bracken’s Rugby friends think to him continuing to skate? “The guys can sometimes give me a hard time,” he said. “But at the same time, they are very supporting. They have all said they want tickets to see me perform in Celebrities On Ice.”
If you would like tickets yourself for their visit to the Peterborough Arena in January, visit www.celebsonice.co.uk or call 0844 581 4910.
Tickets start from £15, and if you book within the next two weeks, you will get a free child’s ticket with every adult one.
All three celebrities really worked the crowd in Cathedral Square, giving us all a taste of the fun and energy we can expect in the show. They all gave their fans plenty of time for photos and autographs and came across extremely friendly. Chico didn’t even look annoyed when I asked “What time is it?”
