Television presenter, adventurer and writer Ben Fogle will be at Central Library, Broadway, on Monday September 3 to talk about his new book The Accidental Naturalist.

The Accidental Naturalist tells the extraordinary true stories of Ben’s amazing encounters with animals and how they changed his life.

For as long as he can remember Ben has been surrounded by creatures great and small. His passion for wildlife has taken him all over the world, from the plains of Africa to the sea ice of Antarctica. He has played with penguins, been chased by bull elephant seals and tapirs, and helped operate on a cheetah.

In recent years Ben has become an esteemed author with three of his previous books; The Crossing, Race to the Pole and The Accidental Adventurer, becoming Sunday Times bestsellers.

This will be your chance to meet the household name and learn more about his adventures.

Elaine Wilkinson, Central Library librarian, told ESP – “We’re very excited that Ben Fogle is coming to Peterborough. His amazing adventures have made him a household name, and this will be a chance for his fans to find out more about the man behind the TV programmes.”

Ben will be at Central Library at 1pm. Tickets cost £3 or £2 for concessions and reading group members and are available from Central Library and Waterstones Peterborough.
