AUDITIONS FOR KEY PANTO

Aged 10 – 18? Want to be a star? Be part of Vivacity’s 2018 Panto, Peter Pan.

On Sunday September 9, children aged 10-18 can show off their singing, dancing and acting skills at the open auditions for this year’s kids’ chorus for Peter Pan. Vivacity are looking for three enthusiastic teams of 12 children to perform between Thursday December 6 and Sunday January 6. This is a perfect opportunity to get early stage experience alongside a professional company and perform on the Key Theatre stage throughout the Christmas period.

The annual Key Theatre panto is unique throughout the region as it stars some of the country’s most talented actor-musicians; all singing, dancing and playing instruments live on stage. Successful chorus members will be able to stand alongside some of the best showmen and women in the country, many of whom have starred on the West End or in national touring theatre.

Auditions take place on Sunday September 9 at the Key Theatre. Children aged 10-12 are welcome from 11am and ages 13-18 kick off from 2pm. Both will last approximately two hours. This is a great opportunity for aspiring actors and actresses to gain stage experience – but most importantly, make new friends and have a great time.

Auditions are truly open to all with no previous experience required. You don’t have to be a member of a dance or drama club either – selections are made solely based on the audition on the day. Successful chorus members will perform in 20 shows over the Christmas period.

Successful chorus members will join some of last year’s returning, popular and dynamic adult cast. Josh Haberfield – the wisecracking Jingles in last year’s Sleeping Beauty plays Little Johnny, ‘Fairy Cherry Blossom’ Katie Pritchard returns as a bubbly Tinkerbell and Rebecca Levy swaps her princess Aurora frock for the knee high boots of Peter Pan. Plus, Robin Johnson returns after a year off following his devilishly evil portrayals of King Rat, Abanaza and Fleshcreep.
