YOU DID IT GIRLS!

The Midnight Walk saw hundreds of Peterborough princesses step it out and celebrate the Royal Wedding weekend by raising cash for Sue Ryder.

ESP magazine was pleased to be a key supporter of the event and our very own Face of ESP Lauren Hughes completed the longer 10 mile route around the city in three hours, joining over 600 other women and girls who took part stepping it out over either six or 10 miles

Despite the blisters Lauren told us she had a fantastic night – “It was such a good night with an amazing atmosphere! I’m so glad I took part.”

As it was Wills and Kate’s big day on the Friday the charity had asked ladies to don their tiaras and wedding gowns and get in the party spirit …and they didn’t disappoint!

It was a colourful sight of pink and white as the walkers set off from Peterborough Greyhound Stadium at the stroke of Midnight and there was such a buzz.

Helena Waters from Sue Ryder told ESP – “We were so pleased to see so many ladies take part and support Sue Ryder at the Midnight Walk.

“It is really amazing to see the dedication of the walkers and the reasons behind them taking part.

“It was a brilliant night but it really hit home when reading the personal messages of who people were walking for.

“It costs on average £120 a day for a nurse at Thorpe Hall so all the money raised will go a long way.

“We hope to raise £100,000 from the walk and would like to thank everyone for taking part and the volunteers and marshals for giving up their evening to help.”

Well done to everyone who took part, you’ve all proved the girls have really got it what takes when it comes to fundraising in style!
