WOLFIE WINS AGAIN!

Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams from Deeping St James captured his second BDO World Championship after beating Dave Chisnall 7-5 in the final at Lakeside, Frimley Green… and has been celebrating back home ever since with a host of local appearances.

The 53-year-old, who won his first title in 2007 triumphed again at the Lakeside with a breathtaking performance in front of a capacity crowd broadcasat live on BBC2.

After the trophy was presented, BBC presenter Colin Murray acclaimed the victory by saying – “You cannot have more fun indoors unless you take your clothes off… and even then you won’t hear as many howls; Wolfie is Champion of the World!”

When asked what was going through his mind as he picked up the trophy, Wolfie joked – “It’s a lovely cheque” refering to the £100,000 first prize before adding seriously “It’s the world professional darts title … that’s what we come here for. I love playing darts and it appears that like a good bottle of wine, I’m maturing with age.”

Wolfie was cheered by Posh supporters when he displayed the trophy at London Road recently and he’s already been back in local darts action.
