WANTED: CHARITY TO JOIN QUEENSGATE

Queensgate shopping centre has announced that it is looking for a new charity partner for the year April 2011 to March 2012.

Each year the centre receives many requests to assist and support a wide range of charities and during 2010 worked closely with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices as its ‘charity of the year’.

Through several fun events including an awareness day, hero art gallery and a charity Christmas gift wrapping stand, Queensgate helped to raise £7,500 for the deserving local cause.

The centre’s now actively searching for a new charity partner who’ll provide a varied programme of fund raising activity, have a proactive, professional fundraising team and a natural affinity with Peterborough and Queensgate customers.

Phil Drinkwater, marketing manager at Queensgate said, “We have really enjoyed working with EACH throughout 2010 and are delighted to have helped raise valuable funds for their charity which will really make a difference. We look forward to welcoming all applicants who wish to partner with Queensgate this year.”
