TORI BRADSHAW from Bretton proved she had that magic something and took the title at the Face of ESP ‘09 Finals Night on Friday September 11.
The event at the Holiday Inn was a huge success and packed with an up for it crowd of around 400 sponsors and guests keen to see which of 33 contestants would step into Claire Smith’s high heels and become the new Face of ESP. Guests included Skins star Luke Pasqualino, Olympic gymnast Louis Smith and British GT Champion racing driver James Gornall.
18 year-old Tori from Bretton won over £6,000 in prizes and will be an ambassador for the magazine for the next 12 months appearing at events, promoting the fun-loving ethos of ESP and her home town. During that time she’ll become a recognised ‘face’ about town, meet celebrities, take part in charity events, model for the magazine and enjoy a year like no other.
“I really couldn’t believe I had won,” said Tori ” I heard my name called out but it just didn’t seem real. I’d had such a great night anyway I would’ve been happy even if I hadn’t won, but now I’m just so excited about what lies ahead. It’s going to be a fantastic year.”
Tori barely had time for her success to sink in before she was whisked off for her glamorous cover shoot at Studio One on Sunday where a team from P.Kai hair and make-up artist Lisa Hinks transformed her into our October cover star. She will adorn the front cover of the special souvenir issue which includes a 14 page supplement illustrating the event which will hit the streets from September 30.
Tori is a sixth form student at Jack Hunt school in Peterborough and works part time at the Cresset. She’s clearly not just a pretty face as she’s studying Physics, Maths and Biology with a view to going to university to become an optometrist.
The gorgeous Top Six finalists on the night included bubbly runner up Nicky Hatch, Billie Whyat, Nicola Clegg, Vicky Lawrence and Lauren Wright.
“We had a tough job on the night choosing as we had so many fantastic entries this year,” said ESP Editor Sharon McAllister, “but I’m confident Tori will do us proud.”
“All the contestants did fabulously well and I’m sure it won’t be the last you see of many of them as we already have plans to involve some of the girls with the magazine. I’d like to thank all of them for making such an effort all the way through, they certainly didn’t let us, or themselves down and it was a fantastic night all round.”
