It’s great to see local restaurants being inventive and we have to say The King’s Head in Apethorpe has some cracking ideas to attract diners during the credit crunch.
Firstly they’ve come up with their great ‘Credit Munch’ deal from May 1 where four eat for the price of three if you pre-book a table – can’t be bad! And the food’s gorgeous. The cheaper main meal will be free and the offer runs from Tuesday to Saturday night, (except for themed or special promotional menus).
Then every Wednesday night, their renowned deep fried fish in beer batter with chunky chips and pea puree is available for just £12 for two people.
Their popular theme nights are back full throttle this month with a Tapas night Friday May 1 with a fantastic selection of traditional finger foods from Spain complete with live Spanish guitar music.
Friday May 15 you can enjoy some great food and drink and enjoy their resident jazz band The Peterborough Hot Four Dixieland Jazz Band.
Tuesday May 19 is their ever popular curry night (so popular you had better book!) with a wide selection of different home made authentic curries for just £10 per person.
Bank holiday Friday May 29 start the weekend with a bang(er) with a celebration of the good old sausage. They’ll be offering a wide range of sausage dishes including the traditional, the exotic and the spicy. Any sausage dish will just be £8.50 per person. All sounds good to us…
