PARTY ON @ FESTIVAL FINALE

The Peterborough Festival draws to a close with a big party on Cathedral Square on Saturday July 10.

There’ll be entertainment throughout the day from 2pm with live music through into the evening with Edwin Starr’s backing band The Team the headliners at 5.30pm.

Billed as ’3 Big Weekends’ the Peterborough Festival has already seen thousands of people pack Central Park for the start of the Festival and then Cathedral Square and precincts for the Heritage Weekend, now it’s time for the final big weekend and Festival Finale in the city centre.

The bands include ESP’s own Stamford Calling columnist Matt Zilch on stage at 3pm with his band The Meizters.

At 4pm it’s Peterborough’s Got Talent winners Wendy Jay and Jack Sandison.

The headliners, The Team are a seven-piece band now featuring Angelo Starr keeping his brother Edwin’s hits alive.

Expect an amazing soul & Motown revue featuring Edwin Starr’s hits such as War, Contact and Happy Radio as well as crowd pleasers like My Girl, Higher and Higher and Celebration.

Throughout the day the city centre will be trasnformed with fairground rides, magicians and a carnival atmosphere.
