NEW MENU @ EAST

For fine dining by the river, East has always been in a class of its own. Now with a new menu just launched it’s time to tantalise your taste buds with more gorgeous flavours from southeast Asia.

Beautifully presented on white porcelain the visual feast for the eyes is equalled by the flavours which truly give you a taste of the Orient. From seven spiced squid from Japan to sake scallops and king prawns the new range of dishes will certainly give your palate the chance to explore the succulent spices of the Far East.

The presentation of dishes like the Chu Chi King Prawns (£10.95) and the Mieng Kana (£4.95) – a platter of fresh ginger, lemon grass, chilli, shallots, shallots, shrimp, crispy pork rind and peanuts served on a bed of spring greens with caramelised palm sugar and roasted coconut sauce will delight you to look at and give equal pleasure when you try them. The pineapple rice with turmeric sauce, prawns, chicken and pineapple chunks (£5.95) is ideal for sharing and a fabulously tasty alternative to try instead of your usual rice dish.

We sampled a stunning selection of the new dishes which provided just a flavour of the extensive menu and would happily recommend them all! If you haven’t visited for a while make a return visit just as soon as you can.

Despite the luxurious feel to East, dining out doesn’t have to be just a luxury. The average price of a dish is just £6.95 and with £10 Tuesdays you can enjoy a starter, main course with rice and vegetables for just that! Word has spread about the fabulous East Sunday buffets too, at £8.95 it’s an affordable treat.

You can even escape the lunchbox and the soggy sarnie at lunchtimes and de-stress out of the office. Settle back in fresh bright surroundings and share a mixed starter as the swans glide past and you’ll be transported out of the city limits within minutes!

Apart from that where else can you also enjoy a pint from Oakham Ales while you dine? Surely that has to encourage the guys to do the decent thing and treat their better half to a meal with style!
