JOIN THE GATHERING

Peterborough College of Adult Education is offering everyone a great cultural tour around the world on your own doorstep for free!

On May 15, doors will open from 9.45am to members of the public for The Gathering so you can enjoy an array of different cultural experiences and crafts.

You can choose from a range of classes from belly dancing, flamenco with Fiesta Flamenco, and salsa with Havana Salsa. Or if you think dancing isn’t the right thing for you, why not try a language taster, ranging from Chinese to Arabic. There’ll be intriguing family craft workshops where you can have a go at African drum making, fan making and decorating, and American Indian mini Totems.

A fantastic Trashion show will be taking place, demonstrating all the different techniques of how traditional costumes from around the world are created with a ‘green twist’ and there’s also a cookery demo, where you can watch the experts prepare tasty dishes and vote for the winning menu.

Everyone’s welcome and there’s no excuses not to miss out on this one as its free!
