FOLLOW THE BEAR FOR A BEER!

The Straw Bear Festival is certainly one that gets Whittlesey buzzing for the whole weekend.

If you’re not sure what The Straw Bear Festival is all about then here’s what’s in store for you – the streets of Whittlesey will be full of folk music, fun and Morris dancers and the pubs will be bursting with a fabulous atmosphere. It’s the ideal way to beat the January blues and isn’t just for folk fans believe us!

Saturday is the main day, and the Market Square is a good place to start, as you’ll catch the Bear and baby Bear on the start of their tour!

It’s a great event to take the kids to, but make sure you wrap up warm as it’s mainly outdoors. The Bear burning takes place on Sunday and there are dances in the evening but you’ll need to book for those in advance.

The festival is coming to Whittlesey town centre between January 15 – 17.
