EASTENDER HITS TOWN TO CELEBRATE YATES’S REFURB!

Eastenders Star Scott Maslen (aka Jack Branning) is set to bring Peterborough to a standstill for Yates’s launch party this Saturday March 26.

Yates’s pub on  Broadway has been temporarily closed for a massive £300,000 refurbishment to transform it into Yates’s latest new look, complete with state of the art lighting, sound system, bar design and a brand new stylish VIP booth.

Re-opening on Thursday 24 March the pub will be hosting a three day celebration on Thursday, Friday and Saturday culminating in a glamorous star studded party on Saturday March 26. Joining the partygoers for the Saturday night and no doubt impressing with some of his famed dancefloor moves will be Eastenders and Strictly Come Dancing star, Scott Maslen.

The newly transformed Yates’s will be opening with a spectacular launch ont Thursday March 24 for local businesses, residents and customers. The BOMB-TASTIC themed party will kick off with a VIP champagne and canapé reception from 5pm, complete with stiltwakers, fire-eaters and special guest, Mayor of Peterborough. Yates’s first Friday night will be a mighty affair as the ‘Honey Club’ launches with 2-4-1 on cocktails, the arrival of the Corkys girls in the house and prizes of VIP booths for winners through the website.

Heart-throb Scott Maslen, who plays Jack Branning in the BBC1 soap and who became a finalist in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing will be joining manager Spencer Lloyd and his team for the biggest party in town on Saturday March 26. The champagne reception kicks off from 5pm, hosted by Yates’s DJ.

The sophisticated new look Yates’s will have the latest in bar design. The introduction of a newly re-shaped bar, light rigging and sound systems as well as DJ booth, toilets and funky furniture will ensure its place as Peterborough’s most contemporary new venue.

Peterborough’s answer to the X Factor launches on March 30. The ‘Y Factor’ for the karaoke enthusiasts will take place every Wednesday at the pub with spot prizes and weekly winners. The grand final will take place on 1st June with the crowned ‘Y Factor’ winner receiving a £200 cash prize.

Thursday nights will be ‘Bombtastic’ student night at Yates’s with ‘Bombs’ at £1.50 a go. It’s Honey Club at the pub on Fridays.
