CLAIRE TAKES THE LEAP!

absailShe’s definitely got bottle! Our Face of ESP Claire Smith said she was keen to raise cash for charity and that’s exactly what she’s done by lowering herself off the side of Woolies!
Claire joined local people, including Hereward FM’s breakfast presenter Kev Lawrence, in the abseil event for Kidney Research UK.
Organiser Pete Revell told ESP – “It was a great day and the weather could not have been better with light winds and blue sky, everyone had a great time and so far we’ve raised £11,000 for Kidney Research UK which is fantastic!”
Claire bravely donned her Santa suit for what was dubbed ‘Santa’s Practice Run’ and despite a few nerves at the top she thoroughly enjoyed it.
“The last time I abseiled was when I was 14 which was nearly 20 years ago and thought I’d sail through it!” said Claire. “However, when I actually got to the top, everything changed and all I can say is many apologies to all the helpers for my bad language! I heard so many heartfelt stories from other abseilers and it’s encouraged me to do the 450ft abseil in May to raise more money for Kidney Research.” Way to go girl!
