Get ready for the big Green Festival launch in Cathedral Square on Saturday May 28!
It’s time to go green and get ready to find out how to re-use, recycle and save the planet… while having a little fun
The 20th Peterborough Green Festival takes place from Saturday May 28 – Sunday June 12 with loads of green themed events throughout the city.
It’s all organised by Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) and most events are free.
Head for Cathedral Square on Saturday where things kick off in style with stalls, stands, activities, entertainment, music, games, competitions, and give-aways.
There’ll also be a stage-bus (a working bus that will transform into the main stage), pedal powered Scalextric, a bike simulator that lets you cycle the world, plus healthy food sampling, and the UK’s greenest cars will be on show.
There’s even a chance to win a bicycle, reconditioned by inmates of Peterborough prison, every 20 minutes.
