Fantastic light switch on kick starts Christmas in the Boro!
Park and Ride’s up and running, the shops are open late and the fun has started!
The city’s festive celebrations were launched with the big Christmas light switch on hosted by Lite FM which saw Bridge Street packed with crowds.
Stars on the night included X Factor’s Nicole Lawrence and local actor Warwick Davis of Star Wars and Harry Potter fame.
Other entertainers included our own columnist and former Face of ESP Susan Saunders who belted out some great songs on stage while Posh players signed autographs for fans.
Now the big shopathon is officially underway the shops are open late in Queensgate til 9pm every week night and through til 7pm on Saturdays.
Christmas Eve they’re open from 9am – 4.30pm and then they re-open again for the big sale madness on Boxing Day from 10.30am – 4.30pm. Parking is free after 6pm weekdays.
