CHALET GIRL GIVES COMIC RELIEF

Showcase Peterborough donates proceeds of Chalet Girl to Comic Relief

This Sunday (March 13) Showcase Peterborough will be showing a special advance preview of upcoming comedy Chalet Girl before its official release on  March 16 with all the net proceeds from ticket sales going to Comic Relief.

The fun British comedy stars Felicity Jones (Cemetery Junction) and Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) who have already joined in the Red Nose Day spirit by posing in Red Noses on the red carpet at the world premiere in February.

Karen Fox, General Manager Showcase Cinemas UK said – “We are thrilled to team up with Momentum Pictures and Comic Relief to offer the net proceeds of Chalet Girl to such a brilliant cause. We hope that all our Peterborough cinemagoers come down to support Comic Relief by buying a ticket for Chalet Girl and join us in the Red Nose Day spirit!”

Chalet Girl is the fun and fearless story of Kim (Jones), a down to earth Londoner who takes a job working in a luxury chalet in a high-end Austrian ski resort surrounded by champagne, private jets and endless wealth.

Out of her depth and sidelined by her pushy co-worker Georgie (Tamsin Egerton), Kim soon discovers the freedom of snowboarding and strikes up an unlikely romance with her boss’ son, Jonny (Westwick).

Directed by Phil Traill and written by Tom Williams, Chalet Girl also stars Bill Nighy (Love Actually), Brooke Shields (Furry Vengence), Tamsin Egerton (St Trinians), Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) and comedian Bill Bailey (Hot Fuzz).

Tickets are available now from the cinema box office, online at www.showcasecinemas.co.uk
