Fancy swapping your unwanted gadgets for something more exciting boys?
Get yourselves down to The Brewery Tap in Peterborough from 6pm on Tuesday June 1 and join in with the Cadge-IT – the beer drinking, Call of Duty playing, arm wrestling brother of the Swish!
The rules are the same but this is an opportunity for guys to swap electrical items, gadgets and DVDs.
If you’ve got stuff you no longer want don’t throw it away, bring it to the Cadge-IT instead and swap it for something you do want.
They don’t want broken stuff but they do want:
- Good quality things you no longer want
- DVD’s, mobile phones, play stations, X Boxes, cameras, speakers, I-pods, video games, computer mice, power tools, torches, kids toys, MP3 players, books, magazines
There’ll be PAT testing on site, and if you bring an item that is damaged you’ll have to declare it – like you would on Ebay.
The typical home has £460 worth of forgotten products buried in the loft or the garage – a nationwide total of £9bn. More than 20 million homes in Britain have lofts stuffed with children’s toys (47 per cent), books and magazines (46 per cent), dumped electrical goods (40 per cent) and old records (28 per cent). It’s these forgotten items that Cadge-IT is trying to make us remember.
How it works:
- Bring up to six unwanted, quality items.
- Browse what everyone else has brought.
- If you see something you want, keep it!
The rules
- Everybody must bring at least one item (maximum six).
- You can take home up to the same amount of items that you bring.
- If you want the same item as someone else, be prepared for a game of paper, scissor, stone to settle it!
The Cadge-IT is part of the city’s Green Festival which runs until June 6 and is supported by ESP Magazine.
