BID FOR DOBBIES CASH TO FEED THE BIRDS

Dobbies Garden Centre has launched a new community fund to help ‘Feed the Birds’ with over £6000 up for grabs to help feed the birds throughout the UK this winter.

It’s part of Dobbies community campaign Here We Grow, which gives support, equipment and assistance to the local community in Peterborough to get growing or help care for wildlife through gardening.

Dobbies in Peterborough wants to hear from local community groups, projects, schools and charities who’d like help to care for the birds that visit their garden.

Peterborough, community champion for, Dobbies Garden World Mandy Wright said – “Encouraging wildlife into the garden is a fun, rewarding activity.

“A wildlife garden can provide the ideal setting for a tranquil sanctuary which will help bring you closer to nature.

“Bird feeding plays an important part in maintaining a happy ecological equilibrium in a garden environment.

“Supporting birds throughout winter helps them to survive severe weather and be in good condition to breed successfully in spring.”
