BB’S BROW BAR MOVES TO WESTGATE

Due to a fantastic response BB’s Brow Bar has now relocated to premsiews in Westgate Arcade. The new addition to the beauty scene in Peterborough originally operated in Queensgate as a walk-in beauty bar, but has just moved to its new location.

They specialise in threading, an ancient art of hair removal, which has been used in the Far East for many years.Practiced in China, India and the Middle East, threading uses twisted cotton thread to remove unwanted hair by lifting the hair directly from the follicle, leaving you with very precise results. It’s less painful than plucking or waxing so is the perfect alternative especially if you have sensitive skin as the top layer of skin is not stripped off in the process, leaving you with less of a rash.

ESP Magazine’s health & beauty writer Charlotte Jolly went along to test it out – “Usually I’m an avid fan of tweezers but I came away thinking ‘I’m never going back to plucking again’. I couldn’t believe how quick it was and in fact it’s quite relaxing. The results were great; it’s surprising how a small change to the shape and thickness of your eyebrows can make such a difference to your face and really open up your eyes. The staff were skilled and friendly so I’ll definitely be going back.”

Surprisingly, threading is also becoming increasingly popular with men as it’s cheap, quick and pain free. Say goodbye to that monobrow boys!
