What a great start it’s been for the Queens Head Inn at Nassington near Peterborough as they’re celebrating being awarded 4 stars and a Rosette for culinary excellence just before Christmas.

The AA made the award during a secret overnight visit to the Queens Head following its application for membership.

The inspector was particularly complimentary about the quality of the 28 day aged steaks grilled to perfection in the Josper charcoal oven.

They’re not stopping there though and have their sights set on achieving two Rosettes this year! Joint owner Paul Smyth and his team are clearly delighted and said – “The award is recognition of the hard work and efforts put in by all members of the team, but especially by the chefs led by Duncan Hooper. It was especially welcome just before Christmas and will inspire us to continue to improve during 2011 and become the pub restaurant of choice for customer in the area.”

The Queens Head has recently been refurbished so if you haven’t visited for a while take a look and try out the AA approved excellent a la carte menu – it’s available every day of the week plus there are two course lunchtime specials for just £12.
