Don’t miss Back Door playing Castor Village Hall on November 14 – none other than Colin Hodgkinson’s band.
Back Door was his early seventies creation with Ron Asprey and Tony Hicks, they toured with Emerson Lake and Palmer and also did Reading Festival in 1976.
Anyway this time around, Colin has Rod Mason on sax and Paul Robinson on drums to bounce around with so expect some seriously good rhythm and blows! Rod has played with just about everyone who is anyone on the British Jazz scene. Paul played drums for Nina Simone for 19 years from 1984 to her death in 2003… enough said.
Colin toured last year with Chris Rea and in the past he can name check Whitesnake, Jan Hammer, Spencer Davis, Chris Farlowe and Alexis Korner, names which, in some way endorse his skill.
So, expect a great jazz and blues fusion night for £17.50. For tickets just call Hannah on 01780 784440.
